The McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley College is offering NSHMBA members with the opportunity to pursue graduate education through their McCallum Leadership Scholar program. Two awards are available each year to active members of NSHMBA. One full-tuition scholarship is reserved for qualified candidates applying to the 2-year Day MBA program. An additional half-tuition scholarship will be made available for qualified students accepted into the Fall semester of any of our evening programs.

This scholarship is provided by NSHMBA and the Boston University School of Management to provide greater access to the best in graduate management education for Hispanic prospective students. Boston University will provide a full or half tuition scholarship to be awarded on behalf of the Boston Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs.

United States citizens of Latin American descent will be given primary consideration for this award, with Latin American citizens being considered on a secondary basis. Candidates will be notified in their admission package, and the National Society of Hispanic MBAs will be notified once the recipient has confirmed his or her intent to enroll at the Boston University School of Management.

The George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics at Chapman University is proud to partner with NSHMBA and offer NSHMBA members pursuing an MBA degree the opportunity to receive one of two scholarship awards.

The first grant is available to individuals who are accepted into our 16-month Accelerated Full-Time MBA program, which is geared towards young professionals who are pursuing their graduate studies early in their careers. The amount of the award will be equivalent to approximately 3/4 of the cost of tuition over the course of the entire program.

The second grant is available to individuals who are accepted into either of our programs for working professionals, the Flex MBA program or the Executive MBA program. The amount of the award will be equivalent to approximately one-half of the cost of tuition over the course of the program of choice.

Accepted applicants of Hispanic descent will automatically be considered for these awards. Not additional paperwork is required.

The John H. Sykes College of Business is pleased to announce the NSHMBA Graduate Assistantship opportunity at the University of Tampa. Benefits include a tuition waiver for nine credit hours and a $1,500 stipend per semester for up to four semesters.

The Graduate Assistantship is available to applicants pursuing full-time graduate business studies in the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Accounting, Master of Science in Finance or Master of Science in Marketing programs. To qualify, applicants should have an outstanding academic record, a GMAT score of 550 or higher, and an interest in becoming a NSHMBA member.

THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT DALLAS:
The School of Management

All of our MBA degrees require 53 credit-hours, with a core of 29 hours and electives comprising 24 hours. Depending upon the program, students may earn full- or part-time hours in classrooms on campus, online in a semester-based timeframe, or with a combination of the two. Our curriculum design enables the student to acquire the broad degree, yet specialize in areas such as accounting and finance, international management, medical management, project management, management information systems, e-commerce, telecommunications, managerial economics, marketing, operations management, or organizations and strategy.

Our Full-time MBA is a cohort-style program with three semesters of course work offered primarily during the daytime. Cohort students have an average of four years of management experience and strong GMAT scores. They each do an internship during the summer between their 2nd and 3rd semesters.

Our Professional (Part-time/Evening) MBA program offers courses primarily during the evenings. The student can begin the curriculum in any semester, and take anywhere from 2.5 to 6 years to complete. Depending on space, students can mix in-class coursework with online courses during their studies.

The University of Central Florida College of Business Administration is pleased to announce that it is providing two fellowships to NSHMBA members pursuing their MBA degree at the University of Central Florida beginning in the 2007-08 academic year.

These fellowships may be used in either the one-year or lock-step program. The fellowship will provide for approximately ¾ of the matriculation fee plus 100% of the non-resident fee in 2007-08, and thereafter, 100% of the full matriculation and non-resident fees for each of the one or two years that it will take to complete the MBA.
