J. Fernandez
Manuel
joined NSHMBA in 1991. He held the roles of Officer at Large,
Marketing VP, Vice President and President in the Washington DC Chapter.
At the national board, Manuel served as East Region Chair, Secretary &
Legal Compliance Officer and National Vice-Chair.
He currently serves as
the National Board Chair Emeritus. Manuel holds a bachelors degree in industrial
engineering from Virginia Tech, a masters of business administration
from the College of William & Mary and a Masters in Engineering
Management from the University of Dallas.
He started his professional
career in 1991 as an executive intern with the United States Postal
Service, where he worked for nine years holding management positions in
Treasury, Finance, Operations, Project Management, International
Business and Diversity Development.
Manuel then joined Capital One Financial in 2000, where he worked as a
senior project manager for five years, helping develop operations
infrastructure to serve the Hispanic and Super Prime credit card
customers.
He currently owns a Minuteman Press printing franchised store in Tampa
Florida, where he lives with his wife Elena and daughter Isabella Sofia.
Manuel is president of a local Network Professionals International Club,
and an active member of the Upper Tampa Bay and local Hispanic chambers. |
