The 15th Annual Conference and Career Expo in Ft. Worth, Texas proved, once again, to be an extremely successful event.
With more than 290 corporate and academic sponsors, over 6,200 gathered in Ft. Worth to attend the largest gathering of Hispanic MBAs in the country.
The conference commenced with Thursday's Professional Development workshops consisting of twenty-four sessions in six special tracks: Finance, Marketing, Management, Leadership, Professional Competencies and Career Development. Each workshop was presented by distinguished speakers including top corporate executives and business consultants who focused on the vital career competencies needed in order to "Drive Career Success with Superior Performance."
The Corporate Networking Reception on Thursday evening was an exclusive event that featured 25 top corporations. Corporate recruiters from American Airlines, Mattel, Procter and Gamble, Gillette, UBS, and many more networked with attendees in an informal setting that provided food, beverages and entertainment.
The Career Expo on Friday and Saturday drew thousands of eager candidates who networked and interviewed with recruiters from various Fortune 500 Companies and top business schools in the country. Attendees were also given the opportunity to attend Company Information Sessions sponsored by individual corporations. The Company Information Sessions provided candidates with an insight into the benefits of exploring opportunities and working for companies such as PepsiCo, Citigroup, AT&T and many more.
The Brillante Awards Reception, Dinner and Entertainment on Saturday evening brought the conference to an exhilarating closing. During the American Airlines Brillante Awards Dinner, Master of Ceremonies, Liz Torres entertained the audience. United Technologies
Corporation was granted the Corporate Award for its vision and dedication to NSHMBA. Miriam Vializ-Briggs received the Corporate Executive Award, Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) accepted the Non-Profit Award. Bentley McCallum Graduate School of Business received the Educational Institution Award, Marilou Martinez-Stevens received the Entrepreneur Award and Stephanie Bazan was awarded the NSHMBA Member Services Award.
The Brillante Awards Entertainment immediately followed dinner as Son de Cali lit up the dance floor with electrifying music that drew crowds concluding the event.
