University of Texas at Brownsville

School of Business

The School of Business at UTB is committed to educating students for success in their academic career and professional endeavors. We provide a learning environment developed on an innovative curriculum, and offer students opportunities to acquire experience while expanding their academic knowledge of today’s global business environment. As UTB sits in a two-nation region in the southern border with Mexico, program development includes participation of the bi-national business community and courses include elements related to this bi-cultural and bilingual region.

The programs offered at theSchool of Business include a BBA with majors in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management and Management Information Systems, and at the graduate level a Master of Business Administration in both a campus-based and online format and a MBA/MPH Dual Degree. These programs have been carefully designed to prepare students to address key decisions in innovative ways, such as for example, our SAP Alliance where students can certify themselves as SAP users in various functional areas. Furthermore, academic-level standards and objectives have been set high to ensure students develop integrative, critical thinking, leadership and communication skills and to acquire an ample base of technical skills required for their profession.
