Bill Greehey School of Business

St. Mary’s University’s 16-month, cohort-based Greehey MBA is for values-driven leaders who want to transform their institutions and communities by positively transforming themselves. Small evening classes facilitate personalized attention and one-on-one interaction. Students learn in the context of ethical leadership, corporate social responsibility, sustainability and social entrepreneurship. They develop relationships that will benefit them throughout their careers and for the rest of their lives.

During Values-driven Leadership Labs (V-Labs) held on nine Saturdays during the fall and spring, students take field trips, discuss case studies and learn from guest speakers, industry leaders and faculty experts. Individual and group assessments develop advanced behavioral skills such as conflict resolution and team building that distinguish top performers.

The Greehey MBA program includes a ten-day International Field Study during which students are exposed to diverse cultures and meet local leaders, experts and academics. The trip is short enough to fit within the average professional’s allotted vacation time.

During an intensive 3-Day Startup event in the summer, students formulate business proposals in the context of social innovation, convert abstract notions into viable concepts and pitch their business plans to a panel of experts, entrepreneurs and investors.

A separate MBA track also is available in Professional Accountancy.
