Year Recap
Looking back, 2015 encompassed many changes and accomplishments for NSHMBA.  A leadership transition was announced naming Thomas Savino as Interim CEO while launching a search for a new Chief Executive Officer.  We added two new members to our National Board of Directors, Karen Flores and Larry Montes, and welcomed David Perez to our NSHMBA Foundation Board.  In additional to these new leadership opportunities, NSHMBA was able to host 300 of our professional chapter leaders in trainings and development programs at our NSHMBA Academy and Annual Conference events.  On the local level, across 40 cities, NSHMBA Professional chapters executed more than 250 events to support the engagement of our 30,000 members across the country.

The most significant change in the past year was the adoption of our new strategy. The year 2015 will forever mark the year in which NSHMBA extended its reach beyond the MBA community to undergraduate-level students. It is also the year we began piloting University Chapters, Mentorship and Internship programs.  Building Hispanic talent at all levels, NSHMBA will continue to empower Hispanic business professionals to achieve their full educational, economic and social potential.

The Face of NSHMBA
ssNSHMBA Membership is life changing! Here is one of the many success stories from NSHMBA members.

“[At conference] I was able to attend several professional development seminars that really helped me and inspired me to be an aspiring MBA student. I then had the great opportunity as an Ignite Scholar to attend the career fair where I was interviewed by several companies. One of the companies in which I interviewed at the Career Fair was General Motors, and was given and accepted a Full-Time Offer with General Motors as a buyer in their Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. I am thankful for the warm welcome that NSHMBA has given me, and I look forward to continuing my relationship with the Detroit NSHMBA Chapter as an aspiring MBA student." – Alberto Rodriguez Detroit NSHMBA Chapter
