Welcome to our website. NSHMBA Seattle is dedicated to increasing Hispanic leadership in the Pacific Northwest through graduate management education, professional development, recruiting, and networking. Our programs and events are geared towards business professionals, entrepreneurs, MBA students, and those considering an MBA.

NSHMBA SEATTLE The Importance of Building Your Career Portfolio

NSHMBA Seattle will hold an Education and Career Management event to attract diverse external candidates for open job positions at sponsoring companies, establish a pipeline for future diverse talent for sponsors, provide information on MBA programs from our sponsor universities and build strong relationships with local diverse community and professional organizations.


NSHMBA Seattle will provide 4 career/professional development sessions to support the theme of the event.  The theme and keynote topic for this event will be focused on "The Importance of Building Your Career Portfolio.”

Building Your Career Portfolio is a unique approach that will help participants discover their professional and personal purpose and build a more directed career. By assessing which career-related activities are valuable, they will become more prepared to face change, and be better equipped for new career options and opportunities instead of feeling trapped and frustrated.

Carol Poore, an International author, Speaker and executive, is the author of Building a Career Portfolio. Carol provides strategic executive leadership, workshops, and keynote presentations about topics related to excelling in a changing environment. Carol specializes in community and organizational leadership, career development, healthcare, biotech entrepreneurship, higher education innovation, and how social networks contribute to community vibrancy.
