Welcome to the San Antonio Chapter -- Bienvenidos al Cápitulo de San Antonio
As we embrace 2014, I am excited to see what the future holds, especially for the NSHMBA San Antonio chapter.
NSHMBA just celebrated an enormous milestone: the 25th anniversary of its foundation. As our organization evolved in front if our eyes, from just a few founding individuals in its beginnings to overpassing 25,000 members and becoming, what our CEO, Manny Gonzalez calls "a building organization".
Our purpose remains constant: be the premiere organization of Hispanic professionals, make and immediate impact on the development and visibility of Hispanic professionals, MBAs, students, sponsors and partners, and connecting people among our sponsors, partners, members and officers.
It is amazing to look how far NSHMBA has come. San Antonio alone, one of the oldest chapters in the nation, grew more than 100% in just 2013. We as a team have been growing, while using action learning strategies based on trust and engagement. As a chapter, San Antonio volunteers have developed and launched programs which pioneered the way we think, cultivating growth and innovation. Some of the programs in place in place include:
C-Suite- A "Think Tank" approach that brings together some of the most powerful business leaders not only in San Antonio but around the country, to engage in an insightful and thought provoking discussion about inclusion and diversity as a conduit of high performing organizations. The only event among all chapters that gathers more than 40 CEOs and C-Suite business leaders.
NSHMBA Charity Open at the TPC San Antonio, will host second annual open, where the proceeds go directly to the funding of higher education for our future generation of professionals
Women in Leadership Forum, which doubled in attendance it is second year of inception, brings together talented women in our community with the sole intent of developing and building leadership skills for generations to come. An open dialog, of what women face in today's work environment
All to ultimately to support our NSHMBA scholarship fund that has raised more than $ 8.5 millions towards scholarship in the recent years.
I encourage you to learn more about our San Antonio Chapter, our plans for 2014 and how you could join us in this amazing journey. Please, reach out to me or any of our officers, like us on our Facebook page, join us onTweeter or LinkedIn or by visiting this website.
