NSHMBA DC: Connected to Powerful Resources

As a chief professional body in the nation’s capital, the Washington, DC Chapter of NSHMBA’s primary mission is to be the chief connector to resources, information, and pathways to professional development for Hispanics in the DC Metropolitan area.


At the local level, the chapter is committed to increasing the number of Hispanic MBAs in the public sector and federal government. NSHMBA DC is an independent 501(c) (6) organization with membership of more than 1,500 professionals and a large network of supporters including MBAs, entrepreneurs, and students.


NSHMBA - More than an MBA

  • NSHMBA is the primary Hispanic business organization dedicated to building and advancing Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development.

  • Actively working to develop Hispanic business professionals for 26 years, NSHMBA has awarded more than $9 million in educational scholarships that have changed the lives of more than 2,500 individuals. NSHMBA has 40 chapters in the U.S. and Puerto Rico serving over 30,000 members since 1988.
  • NSHMBA works to prepare Hispanics for leadership positions throughout the U.S., so that they can provide the cultural awareness and sensitivity vital in the management of the nation's diverse workforce.

Welcome NSHMBA DC's New Board Member


Rosario Babiskin, MPA

Finance Chair

Rosario Babiskin works for Nestlé's Corporate Affairs Washington, DC office as a Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives Specialist. Rosario's responsibilities include managing the division's budget and strategic alignment efforts. Before joining Nestlé, Rosario worked for a global law firm and a nonprofit organization. She earned a BA in U.S. Government & Public Policy from American Jewish University and an MPA with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management from California State University, Northridge. Rosario's interests include seeing how businesses embrace corporate social responsibility/creating shared value, education and economic equity issues.

Geraldine Zilleruelo

Government Relations Chair

Geraldine is a professional bilingual with many years of experience leading and supporting tasks related to the procurement and acquisition of services and equipment in both the federal and commercial sectors.  Currently Geraldine works for Serco Inc. as a Subcontracts Administrator managing cradle-to-grave Procurements for the Citizen and Defense Services and National Security Services Business Units.  Prior to joining Serco, she worked for the International Satiability Operations Association with a focus on administering the programs and operations of the organization, and also has experience working for a Trade Association in the Import/Export Industry.  Geraldine received her BA in International Affairs with a concentration in Economics from the University of Mary Washington.  Some of her interests include business management, policy, and negotiations.  Moreover, Geraldine is proud of her Hispanic heritage and is honored to serve as Government Affairs Chair in service to NSHMBA’s mission.
