NSHMBA DC: Connected to Powerful Resources


As a chief professional body in the nation’s capital, the Washington, DC Chapter of NSHMBA’s primary mission is to be the chief connector to resources, information, and pathways to professional development for Hispanics in the DC Metropolitan area.

 

At the local level, the chapter is committed to increasing the number of Hispanic MBAs in the public sector and federal government. NSHMBA DC is an independent 501(c) (6) organization with membership of more than 1,300 professionals and a network of over 1,500 supporters including MBAs, entrepreneurs, and students.

   

NSHMBA - More than an MBA

  • NSHMBA is the primary Hispanic business organization dedicated to building and advancing Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development.

  • Actively working to develop Hispanic business professionals for 26 years, NSHMBA has awarded more than $9 million in educational scholarships that have changed the lives of more than 2,500 individuals. NSHMBA has 40 chapters in the U.S. and Puerto Rico serving over 30,000 members since 1988.
  • NSHMBA works to prepare Hispanics for leadership positions throughout the U.S., so that they can provide the cultural awareness and sensitivity vital in the management of the nation's diverse workforce.

Welcome to the NSHMBA DC 2015 1st Quarterly Newsletter.  One of the chapter's 2015 goals was to re-establish our quarterly newsletter and we are excited to share with you our first edition.  We hope you enjoy and learn more about NSHMBA DC, our events, what we do and how you can also be part of our chapter.
 
Our theme is a little different than other newsletters. We focused our newsletter on talking and sharing things about our chapter, members, sponsors and diversity partners.  We included our Member of the Month, photos, and also a little bit about our Board members highlights.
