Message from the President, Gustavo Gisbert

Dear Members, Sponsors, Partners, Friends and "Familia”:

It gives us great pride to welcome you to our NSHMBA Louisville Chapter. 2013 marks the third year of our journey, and we are pleased to report that, despite all the challenges, we remain as one of the Best Chapters of NSHMBA, as demonstrated by our 3rd place in the Chapter of the year award in 2012.

This is a special year for us. At the National level, NSHMBA is celebrating our 25 year anniversary, and our Board of Directors is participating actively in the ONE NSHMBA strategy and implementation. At the local level, we are positioning Louisville as an exciting place to live, work and study an MBA, partnering with great local sponsors and universities. We continue to build bridges to increase the number of Latinos graduating from master degrees programs, providing  scholarships, opportunities for professional development, career management and leadership advancement. We have been working hard with our sponsors to become their partner of choice when looking to recruit Hispanic talent. And most importantly: we are serving our members and engaging them in activities relevant for them.

Our progress is exciting: we currently have more than 250 members, 5 corporate sponsors, 2 university partners, and we are now extending our network of collaboration with more than 14 local organizations that support our vision and mission and work with us in different events. To increase access and reach our members directly, we are expanding our social media presence. In fact, our Facebook (NSHMBA_Louisville) and Twitter @NSHMBA_LVL accounts are continuously growing and becoming more interactive.

As a non-profit and volunteer organization we are currently looking for additional sponsors, members and experienced volunteers and leaders that would like to become part of our familia.
