NSHMBA INDY HONORED WITH IUPUI LATINO STUDENT ASSOCIATION AYUDANDO A MI GENTE AWARD!

MARCH 25, 2013 - NSHMBA Indianapolis Chapter was invited to the 6th Annual César Chávez Celebration Dinner put on by the IUPUI Latino Student Association. We were presented with the Ayudando a Mi Gente (Helping My People) award for community leadership. This award is for a noteworthy leader in the community that provides services, programs, or assistance to the Latin@ Community in Indianapolis. We were nominated for our past work with Project Stepping Stone, a one-week college prep summer program that introduces Hispanic high school students to potential careers and includes visits to several Indiana college campuses and businesses. This program is offered, at no cost to students and is now a standalone, spin-off program of NSHMBA Indy. Learn more about Project Stepping Stone here!
