Yvonne Martin,

Chair NSHMBA National Board of Directors
United Technologies Director, Strategic Accounts

Yvonne currently serves as Chair of the National Board of Directors for The National Society of Hispanic MBA’s (NSHMBA), a not for profit organization serving 37 chapters and nearly 16,000 members in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. NSHMBA is dedicated to building and advancing Hispanic leadership, increasing the number of Hispanics graduating from master’s business degree programs, and providing members with world-class career management programs. Her achievements with NSHMBA during the last 14 years include helping launch the Women’s Leadership Network at the 2010 conference, serving as president of the Connecticut Chapter, and chairing the NSHMBA Foundation Board of Directors.

As Director for Strategic Accounts of the Integrated Building Solutions team at United Technologies Corporation (UTC), Yvonne leads relationships with strategic customers and works with the UTC commercial companies to create and execute global account strategies. Her 23-year career with UTC also includes several roles at Otis Elevator Company serving in roles of global marketing and sales, product strategy, branch management, and finance in the U.S. and Spain.

In December 2001, Yvonne co-founded the UTC Hispanic Leadership Forum employee resource group. In 2007 she was inducted to the Academy of Women Leaders, YWCA of the City of New York, for outstanding professional achievement, civic commitment and leadership.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Bridgeport and an MBA from Northeastern University.
