Transforming our Future by Focusing on Tomorrow's Inclusive Leaders; Embracing Efficacy to Achieve Success

NSHMBA Boston Chapter is proud to announce our upcoming event. This event will provide participants an opportunity to learn about diversity and inclusion best practices .  Our keynote speaker for this event is Audra Bohannon, Principal, Global Novations-A Korn/Ferry International Company.

Participants will attain principles which will allow them to become effective leader.  Notwithstanding covering efficacy as outlined by Michael Hyter’s new book, The Power of Choice: Embracing Efficacy to Drive Your Career, is a strategic approach to career development providing a framework of shared responsibility for growing organizational talent that can be used by both leaders and individual professionals.  Professionals who perceive themselves—or are perceived by others—to be "different” by virtue of their race, gender, age, or orientation often feel something prevents them from achieving the same career success as their colleagues. It is not discrimination that impedes professionals. Rather, it is self-doubt, the lack of relational and influential proficiency, and the inability to overcome powerful societal messages. Therefore, individuals must adopt the right mindset and learn steps to confront these challenges successfully.


Session objectives:
• Develop a foundation of knowledge around Efficacy concepts.
• Explore how to apply those principles to become increasingly more effective as diversity leaders.
• Identify strategies to accelerate development of today’s diverse workforce.• Learn practical, straightforward strategies for building and sustaining career momentum in today’s competitive and fast-moving organizations
• Understand the guidelines for translating that belief into effective approaches for managing their careers
