Welcome to 2010!!  We at the DFW Board welcome you to our site and to the area. If you are new the area or to the chapter we are elated to have you join us.  Hopefully you have resolved this new year to become involved in our thriving chapter.  We are busy planning some exciting events that will include solid networking opportunities, professional development and leadership development.  We stand at the beginning of an exciting new year and decade - please join us as we grow together.  Please check back often for updates on events and opportunities.  Saludos! Who We Are-NSHMBA

The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) was created in 1988. Widely known as the "Premier Hispanic Organization," NSHMBA serves 32 chapters and 8,000 members in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. It exists to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development. NSHMBA works to prepare Hispanics for leadership positions throughout the U.S., so that they can provide the cultural awareness and sensitivity vital in the management of the nation's diverse workforce.

To be the premier Hispanic MBA professional business network for economic and philanthropic advancement.

Career Management Workshop

Looking for a job? Maximize your potential by getting one-on-one feedback from professional resume and interview experts with this Career Management Program. In addition, learn techniques that will help you better market yourself to the hundreds of employers looking to hire YOU at the NSHMBA Conference and Career Expo on October 21-23 in Chicago, IL!

 

However, even if you are not planning to attend the conference, you are welcome to attend this event.  The DFW Chapter of NSHMBA and the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University will be offering a Career Management Workshop on Saturday, September 11th.  This pre-conference program is offered FREE of charge, but you need to RSVP by Monday, September 6th.

 

The following services will be offered.

  • Personal Resume Critique with specific recommendations on how to improve your resume and targeted strategies for marketing your résumé and cover letter as part of a coordinated job search campaign
  • 20 Minute Structured One-on-One Mock Interview with an oral and written evaluation of your interview skills
  • Seminar on 2010 NSHMBA Career Expo Success Strategies

 

Services are provided by the NSHMBA DFW Chapter, Southern Methodist University and area career management experts.
