On February 13th, the DFW Chapter of NSHMBA and The Singley Academy of Irving ISD are hosting the 2010 College Summit. The purpose of this event is to prepare high school students at The Academy for the educational and career challenges they will face after graduation, and to encourage students to pursue higher education for expanded career opportunities. There will be a number of sessions that will help students understand the college admissions process, financial aid options, college life, etc. There will also be break-out sessions for information on specific career paths in which professionals will form a panel to discuss career options and insights, and answer questions from the students.
