Welcome to Chicago!
Message from Lino Carrillo, Chapter President

Welcome to the NSHMBA Chicago Chapter Website

2012 promises to be an exciting and beneficial year for the Chicago Chapter, with a very aggressive and robust agenda of events and activities. Along with the current Board of Directors, I urge you to get involved and stay involved by attending the many networking and professional development events we have planned. We will be communicating with you frequently over the coming months to keep you informed of these activities, but don’t hesitate to reach out to a board officer if you have a question or need some help with anything NSHMBA related.

We must all thank our generous corporate sponsors for the continued support they offer the local chapter and the investment they continue to make in supporting the mission we serve.

Thanks to these sponsors, we will be fortunate to see several events return to Chicago again this year like our very popular Chicago Executive Summit, our Mock Interview and Resume Critique Career Event, and our Professional Development Forums, and Speakers. In fact, we plan to host several special speakers on important topics and informational panels and seminars designed to help you take charge of your career and continue your leadership in our business communities.

As we have done in the past, we will also offer countless networking opportunities so that you can make meaningful connections and expand your networks. All of these activities are designed to help you develop professionally, at whatever stage you are at in your career.

Additionally, we plan to continue expanding our Summer Enrichment Program or SEP. The SEP not only provides rich content and role models for high school students, but also offers you, our members and friends, significant opportunities to give back to the community and share your expertise, experience and excitement by becoming volunteer teachers and leaders during the summer. Opportunities are as small as 4 hours of your time, so it’s quite easy to be involved.

2012 looks to be fantastic. Check the website often for updates in the calendar and look to the coming NSHMBA e-mail blasts to inform you of the upcoming activities.

As always, your feedback is appreciated. We want to know what you’ve enjoyed, and what you expect, need and value from the organization. We are all volunteers, dedicated to our vision and mission and hoping to serve and inspire you this year.
